On most college library websites, there are links to search for periodical articles. These sources are often found through large electronic databases connectedto your school’s library. If you’re unfamiliar with searching for articles online, ask someone at the library’s reference desk to give you a brief tutorial. You alsomight find assistance through the “help” section on the library’s website.
Once you locate the listing of databases (you might have to clickon a link for the “A–Z database listing”), scroll through the list to see whichdatabases apply to your research topic. Most colleges provide a briefdescription of each database, and the listing of databases should cover a widerange of academic fields; therefore, you should be able to find a few databasesthat contain articles for the particular topic you’re researching. To save time, focus your search on the databases that provide “full-text” articles. Note: It’s alsoimportant to remember that you’ll need your school ID and password to accessmost of these databases via your school’s library site.
